Communications Department's utility bill audits, contract monitoring and error resolution services correct problems before they become costly mistakes. Verifying the accuracy of invoices, evaluating the cost effectiveness of accounts, identifying unnecessary minimum billing charges, and discovering redundant billing fees often uncovers potential for refunds and savings resulting in the thousands of pounds.
The utility audit services include:
- A full analysis of current and past usage to ensure all tariffs are correct and provide the lowest possible cost.
- An audit of all electric, water, and natural gas bills for errors and overcharges.
- A detailed report produced at the end of the project contains all errors and overcharges including an explanation of areas for cost savings.
Additionally, Communications Department in association with David Brown Consulting, can also, on your company's behalf, contact your utility provider and correct any billing errors uncovered during the audit process. The aim is to obtain a refund/credit for the full amount of the overcharge (within the statute of limitations). As we deal directly with the right contacts in the utility departments, we cut through "red tape" to get available refunds quickly.
Lowering carbon footprint and saving costs with an Energy Audit
The Energy Audit will provide you with the information, advice and
means to reduce your building's energy consumption and save you money. It examines the electricity used by appliances, and helps to calculate the amount of insulation required to prevent the heat from escaping from the building.
The Energy Audit will include a comprehensive energy survey; utility bills collected for a 13 month period to allow the auditor to evaluate the facility's energy/demand rate structures and energy usage profiles.
The audit will be able to identify all energy-conservation measures appropriate for the facility, given its operating parameters.
A detailed financial analysis is performed for each measure based on detailed implementation cost estimates; site-specific operating cost savings, and your investment criteria.
In the next 24months all commercial premises over 500sqm will be required to have a Display Energy Certificate on their premises which informs the public how efficient their premises are.
